Using the HDD Maintenance Mode

Macintosh

Windows

Basics

The HDD Maintenance mode has the following functions,

• Displaying information of the printer’s hard disk drive,

- Volume Label
- Total Size
- Free Size

• Checking the printer’s hard disk drive.
• Formatting the printer’s hard disk drive.

- Quick Format:

Bad sectors are not checked.

- HDD Format (Physical Format):

It will take more time than the Quick Format because bad sectors are checked.

To use the HDD Maintenance mode,

Turn on the printer by pressing

MENU/EXIT (PAUSE)

button and

(CONTINUE)

button until “Initializing...” is displayed.

Press

MENU/EXIT (PAUSE)

button.

HDD Information is displayed.

Press

(CONTINUE)

(CANCEL)

button until the desired menu is

displayed.

Press

ENTER

button to enter the item menu.

Press

(CONTINUE)

(CANCEL)

button until the desired item is displayed.

Press

ENTER

button.

Select the desired lower-level menu using

(CONTINUE)

(CANCEL)

button, and

ENTER

button.

• If you have entered the selection 2 menu, then perform the above procedure once again.

To exit the HDD Maintenance mode, press

MENU/EXIT (PAUSE)

button.

If you need to change a different menu, repeat the steps 2-8 above.

To quit the HDD Maintenance mode, turn off the printer.
