If the print quality deteriorates when you print on other than recommended media (
see “About Media”
on page 6
), the print quality may be improved by changing the setting of ADJ. to Media.
The settings you have changed will remain effective even if the power is turned off. Reset the settings
again if any changes in media or deterioration in print quality occurs. To reset the settings, refer to
“Setting the “ADJ. to Media” (Windows Only)” on page 69
for instructions.

Plain Paper / Thin Paper / Transparency / Label / Coated Paper /
Thick Paper/Card / Envelope
It enables you to change the setting of the selected media in the menu.
You can select a value from 31 different levels (-15 to 15).

Language
Specifies the language of the LCD text and the language used in the Test Page. You can select
language among English, French, German, Spanish and Italian.
■
Power Save
This printer is provided with a power save function to conserve energy and operating cost. The
printer is factory set with the power save function turned on to comply with E
NERGY
S
TAR®
requirement. If power save function is effective, the printer enters the Power Save mode when the
printer is idle for 3 minutes.

Auto Continue
Specifies whether the printer should automatically continue the current print job in the case of
certain recoverable errors.

Error conditions are not recovered automatically.

(Set time):
When a recoverable error has occurred, printer automatically goes to online mode in the set time:
20, 30, 60, 90 or 120 seconds.

Factory Reset
Resets the printer panel settings to the factory default settings.
