Printer Collation

Selecting 

On

 from the “Printer Collation” allows you to print the copies of the entire document a 

number of times, from first page to the last page. If you print 3 copies of a 5 page document, 
printer prints page 1 through page 5 three times.
Selecting 

Off

 from the “Printer Collation” allows you to print 3 copies of the first page, then 3 

copies of the next page and so on.
The hard disk drive must be installed in the printer to use this feature. Be sure the hard disk drive 
is defined as installed (

see “Setting the Installable Options” on page 257

).

If an application software has collation feature, it is recommended to disable the applicaton’s 
collation option of the print window when printing a document with the collation feature. The printer 
driver’s Printer Collation feature will provide faster printing than application’s collate feature.
