Chapter 5 - Troubleshooting
Using CE Diagnostics
The system diagnostics are intended for use by a CE or other technically trained person. To
use system diagnostics, proceed as follows.
1. At the Default Screen, press the
Enter
button. The display will show the following.
Load/Unload
Show Status Menu
Maintenance Menu
Configure Menu

Press the button twice to move the next to Maintenance, then press the
Enter
button to select the Maintenance Menu. The display will show something similar to
the following.
Clean Drive
Diagnostic Menu
Demo Menu
Flash Update

Press the button once to move the next to Diagnostic Menu, then press the
Enter
button to select the Diagnostic Menu. The following menu will appear.

Cartridge Cycle
Scanner Feedback
Friction Test

This screen is scrollable. The list of Diagnostics available is as follows.

•
Scanner Feedback
Of these selections, only three are intended for use in the field. Friction Test is used only
during factory setup.
