12.3. AIRPLANE MODIFICATIONS OR REPAIRS
Only qualified personnel are permitted to accomplish repairs and modifications of airplane in an approved
service center. Changes to the aircraft must be performed in coordination with the manufacturer and the
authority to ensure that airworthiness of the airplane is not compromised. If the airplane weight is
affected by an alternation, a new weight and balance will be necessary. A revised "Weight and Balance
Record /Permitted payload range" and Placard "LOAD LIMITS" must be filled out and attached to the
airplane.
12.4. GROUND HANDLING
1. PARKING
It is advisable to park the aircraft inside a hangar or other enclosed space with constant temperature,
sufficient air exchange (ventilation), low humidity and dust-free environment if possible.

Remove or open all necessary inspection plates, access doors, fairing, and
cowling. Thoroughly clean the aircraft and aircraft engine after initial visual
inspection for oil, exhaust, or other leaks.

Check that parking brake of the aircraft is set.
Check that fuel supply is closed.
Check that all avionics switches are in Off position.
Check that ballistic rescue system (if applicable) is secured.
Close and lock cabin doors.
Protect propeller blade using cloth covers, protect Pitot tube similarly.
Cover cabin using suitable cover.
CAUTION!
WHEN PARKING OUTSIDE HANGAR, IT IS NECESSARY TO USE ANCHORS, SO THAT THE
AIRCRAFT CANNOT BE DAMAGED BY WIND GUSTS.
