12. HANDLING AND SERVICING
12.1. INTRODUCTION
This section defines periodical inspections and prerequisites for the required performance and reliability
of aircraft. Passing mandatory inspections required by the manufacturer is one of warranty conditions.
Including instructions on and checklists for the completion of periodic and annual inspections, as
appropriate.
Regular and thorough maintenance is necessary for reliability and safe handling of the aircraft. Warranty
inspection and inspections at 100 (50) operating hours/annual inspection and inspections at 500
operating hours must be recorded in aircraft logbook. As required by Federal Aviation Regulations, all
LSA aircraft of U.S. registry must undergo a complete condition inspection (“annual”) every twelve
calendar months, in addition, every 100 hours of operation when operated in commercial use. It is the
responsibility of the owner/operator to assure compliance with all applicable aircraft manufacturer
directives.
12.2. AIRPLANE INSPECTION PERIODS
Periodical inspections of airplane must be carried out at the latest in the following intervals:
1.
WARRANTY INSPECTION (FIRST 25 HOURS)
The inspection after first 25 flight hours is performed in conjunction with the engine oil and filter change
by the airplane owner if is trained for the airplane´s maintenance or performed by an FAA qualified
inspector following the First 25-hour inspection checklist. If the aircraft is used for commercial operation
the inspection is performed by an FAA approved A&P. Otherwise, it is made in the manufacturer´s service
center.

100-HOUR (50-HOUR) / ANNUAL INSPECTION
As required by Federal Aviation Regulations, all LSA aircraft of U.S. registry must undergo a complete
condition inspection (“annual”) every twelve calendar months, in addition, every 100 hours of operation
when operated in commercial use. It is the responsibility of the owner/operator to assure compliance with
all applicable aircraft manufacturer directives.
If aircraft is operated in demanding conditions, halve this interval to 50 hours.
Demanding operating conditions include:

Glider towing
•
Ambient temperatures continuously exceeding 35° C

500-HOUR INSPECTION
Inspection of aircraft parts and equipment with longer operational lifetime / service intervals.
