An electrical fire is usually indicated by an odor of hot or burning insulation.

→
ALL OFF (leave Ignition Switches – ON)
• Air Vent
→
OPEN if necessary for smoke removal and ventilation
• Use hand fire extinguisher if available
• Land immediately (or as soon as practical if location for safe landing is not available)
7.7. LANDING WITH A DAMAGED LANDING GEAR
•
If main landing gear leg or tire is damaged, perform touch-down at the lowest speed possible and
keep the damaged leg/wheel above the ground for as long as possible using ailerons. Begin braking
intensively as soon as the damaged leg touches the ground, trying to relieve it as much as possible.
Maintain direction during landing run using the rudder, if possible.
•
If nose landing gear is damaged, perform touch-down at the lowest speed possible and use elevator to
keep the nose up for as long as possible, without the use of brakes if possible.
•
Always try to land with headwind and with engine off.
7.8. LOW OIL PRESSURE
If low oil pressure is accompanied by a rise in oil temperature, the engine has probably lost a significant
amount of its oil and engine failure may be imminent. Immediately reduce engine power to idle and select
a suitable forced landing field. Use only the minimum power required to reach the desired landing zone.
WARNING!
DO NOT TRY TO RESTART THE ENGINE IN THIS SITUATION.
