NS Series Programming Manual
The set numerals and character strings can be all edited together because the efficient editing func-
tions of the commercially available software can be used. Once editing has been completed, import the
file again to enable the settings.
Alarm/event settings can be changed and added by using the import function.
The contents of the CSV file will change if an address is set in the file that is registered as an existing
alarm/event. Alternatively, if an address that has not been registered yet is set to the CSV file, it will be
added as a new alarm/event.
If the imported CSV file contains any errors (e.g., insufficient columns or number of columns in-
creased), an error message will be displayed.
Click the
OK
Button to edit the CSV file.

♦
CSV files can be edited using spreadsheet software or a text editor. If an exported CSV file is
opened using a text editor, items with alarm messages or other character strings will be delimited by
inverted commas (“ ”). Up to 1,110 characters can be set per line when using a text editor. This is
the maximum number of characters that can be set for each item.
Example: “Item 1,” “Item 2.”
♦
Up to 5,000 alarms or events can be set for each CSV file. If there are more than 5,000 alarms or
events in a file, only 5,000 will be imported. The rest of the settings will be ignored.
♦
Use the
