Parameter Read/Write (Class 65 hex)
Function Code Object (Class 65 hex) - Supported Service Codes
Use each inverter parameter number as a Function Code in the Instance and Attribute objects.
A Function Code is calculated using a sequence number of the parameter function group (A = 0, B = 1,
etc) x 1000 + the 3-digit parameter number. This Function Code is used to allocate the Instance (2 high
bytes) and Attribute (2 low bytes).

Precautions for Correct Use
Precautions for Correct Use
• For details about Modbus registers and data sizes, refer to
Section 6-8 Modbus Communication (Modbus-RTU) Data List of the MX2 User's Manual
(Cat. No. I570) and 8-5 Modbus Communication Register Number List of the RX User's Manual (Cat.
No. I578).
• All data written by the Function Code object are saved temporary in the inverter memory. Be sure to
execute the ENTER command at the end of the writing sequence to store the values in EEPROM.
• Function Code F001 cannot be written using the Function Code object.
• Parameter b127 takes double-word data, which is different from the data size of Modbus registers
(single word).
• The ENTER command is executed by the following object and written to EEPROM. Refer to
Saving Changes to Holding Registers (ENTER Command)
Write to EEPROM: Class 65 hex, Instance 09 hex, Attribute 00 (0900 hex)
