TRANSMISSION
This chapter describes all the methods that you can use to transmit a document. Transmission operations
are closely linked with the dialling procedures.
TRANSMISSION METHODS
Transmission following manual dialling:
•
With this method you insert a document and, using the phone or fax machine numeric keypad, dial the
destination fax number.
Transmission following automatic dialling (one touch and speed dialling):
•
With this method you insert a document and, using the duly programmed one touch key or speed dial
code, select the destination fax number.
Delayed transmission:
•
Delayed transmission allows you to program the transmission of a fax for a preset time.
DOCUMENTS THAT CAN BE TRANSMITTED
Your fax machine will send any document provided that it is within the minimum and maximum size limits
accepted by the scanner (maximum size: 216 width x 600 mm length; minimum size: 148 mm width x 148
mm length), with thickness between 007 mm and 0.14 mm.
To ensure that the entire contents of the document are transmitted, the right and left margins should be at
least 1 mm wide. The automatic document feeder support can accommodate up to 10 sheets. Documents
whose dimensions are smaller than the above limits can be transmitted following insertion in a transparent
document file.
Do not send documents which are:
•
crumpled or folded
•
rolled or damp
•
torn
•
on glossy paper
•
with punched holes
•
on carbon paper
•
transparencies
•
with paper clips or staples
In all these cases you should first photocopy the original document and send a copy or use the transparent
document holder.
