CONFIGURATION PARAMETERS
Configuration means adapting the fax machine to your particular needs. It entails programming
parameters and functions which, once stored in the memory, may be used to automate certain operations.
The settings of the configuration parameters, in combination with the installation parameters, determine
how your machine operates in various conditions.
The difference between the installation parameters and the configuration parameters is that the latter are
normally changed more frequently.
Like the installation parameters, the configuration parameters are already set with a number of values
which can subsequently be freely modified by the user according to requirements.
An updated summary of both the preset values and those set by the user may be printed if required.
LIST AND DESCRIPTIONS
The following is a list of the configuration parameter menus and sub-menus with a brief description of
each. The charts in the following pages explain how to program these parameters.

Press FUNCTION to select the FAX SET-UP menu.

Confirm with START to select the VARIOUS SETTINGS sub-
menu and then press FUNCTION to select the following sub-menus.
This is the menu from which you can select the various sub-menus for the
configuration parameters.

Allows you to select error correction mode (ECM), transmission report
printout, transmission speed, the position in which your station name is
printed on transmitted documents, scan resolution and beeper volume.

Allows you to select the print mode for received/copied documents.
Ø
Allows you to select the format in which the date and time are displayed
and to change the date and time settings.
Ø
Allows you to store frequently used fax or telephone numbers in the
memory of your machine so that you may then dial them by pressing a
single key.
