DIALLING METHODS FOR MAKING A TELEPHONE CALL (DOCUMENT NOT INSERTED)
Dialling of a phone or fax number depends on whether or not there is a document in the document feeder.
If there is a document inserted then the machine will assume that the number dialled is a fax number. If no
document is inserted, the machine will assume that the number is a phone number.
The chart below illustrates the various methods for dialling a telephone number.

MACHINE By pressing HOOK, dialling the phone number from the
fax machine keypad and lifting the handset.

By pressing the SPEED DIAL key and the programmed
code.

The chart below illustrates the various dialling methods you can use to send a fax.

SPECIAL DIALLING FUNCTIONS
In the manual dialling phase, it is possible to use the following functions directly:
Change of the Frequency Mode

By pressing the * key, it is possible to dial a number in “multi-frequency” mode (i.e. tone) instead of
decadic mode (i.e. pulse). When this function is activated, the “*” symbol will appear on the display.
