Starting operation
1. Check the position of the snow discharge
chute:
- adjust the discharge direction using the
rotation chute crank (1, Fig.25).
- adjust the discharge height manually
(2, Fig.25).
2. Start the engine.
3. Press the operated cutter lever (A, Fig.26).
Warning! Moving par ts. Mutilation
Danger – Don’t touch when rotation. Keep
people or animals away.
WARNING - The muffler and surrounding
parts become very hot when the engine
is running. Risk of burns.
Useful tips
1. Always adapt the right speed, regulate with
the drive speed selection, to the snowy
conditions.
2. Remove the snow, directly after falling, is
more effectively.
3. If is possible, always throw the snow in the
direction of the wind.
Stopping machine
1.
Release the operated cutter (A, Fig.26).
- In order to prevent freezing, continue
running the cutter and impeller at
vacuum until they are mostly free of
snow.
Switching off the engine
1. Set the throttle lever to SLOW position
(Fig.22).
2. Turn the gasoline tap to the position (OFF)
(Fig.20).
Warning! Danger injury – The engine may
still in operation. After switching off, make
sure that the engine is at a standstill.
Unclogging the snow chute
If snow does not discharge properly, the cutter
or the snow chute may be clogged by snow or
ice.
1. Release the operated cutter (A, Fig.26).
2. Switch off the engine.
3. Disconnect the spark plug connector.
4. Carefully remove the snow from the snow
chute and cutter using the special tool.
If snow still does not discharge properly,
contact a Servicing Dealer.
Storage and inactivity for long periods
If the machine is likely to be unused for a long
period (more than 1 month):
WARNING - Risk of explosion! Do not
store the machine near an flame or heat
source.
- Empty the carburettor:
1. Close the gasoline tap (OFF) (B, Fig.20).
2. Start the engine.
3. Wait until the engine dies.
- Allow the engine to cool.
- Disconnect the spark plug connector.
- Either empty the petrol tank. Follow the
instructions in the Fuel chapter on pag.27.
- Remove the oil from the engine as described
in Oil Change on page 33.
- Put the machine away in a dry, sheltered
place out of reach of children and preferably
covered with a cloth.
The next time the machine is used, check that
there are no fuel leaks from the tubes, fuel stop-
cock or carburettor.
5.3 Transporting
WARNING: The machine must not be
driven or towed on a public road.
- To transport the machine, use a suitable
motor vehicle of adequate power and size or
an approved trailer.
- When loading the machine onto the vehicle,
always choose a level area that is away from
traffic and free from potentially hazardous
objects.
- The machine is heavy and may cause serious
