If the toner container was replaced when
Replace toner
Clean Printer
was not displayed, reset the toner counter
as follows so that an accurate toner gauge measurement is
indicated on the status page. Note that if this operation is
performed when the toner container is not replaced, the ton-
er gauge measurement will not be indicated correctly.

Press the
MENU
key.
Press the or key repeatedly until

Counters >
appears.
Press the key.
Press the or key repeatedly until

Installed
appears
Press the
ENTER
key. A question mark (?) appears.
Press the
ENTER
key. The toner counter is reset.
Press the
MENU
key. The message display returns to
Ready
.
You can select the language of the messages on the message
display by following the procedure given below.

appears. The default message language is

To change the language, press the
ENTER
key. A
blinking question mark (

) appears.
Press the key. The display cycles through the
available selections in the following order (the key
cycles in the reverse order):

Deutsch
Italiano
Nederlands
Espanol
Portugues
Press the
ENTER
key.
Press the
MENU
key. The message display returns to
Ready
.
When the printer receives no data for a certain time, it times
out and releases the current interface: it prints whatever
data it has in its buffer and feeds out the page. You can ad-
just the time-out time as follows:
