Wiring an AFP-400 Audio
Signal without a Backup
Amplifier
These drawings illustrate the use of two AA-30 Audio Amplifiers without
backup.The first two speaker circuits share 30 watts from one AA-30;
the third and fourth speaker circuits share 30 watts from the second AA-30.
1) Set FFT-7 SW1 for four-wire operation (down position).
2) Mount an R470 resistor across P3-4 and P3-5 on the last amplifier.

Use 18AWG to 12AWG twisted-
pair cable for EIA-485
connections.
This wiring diagram applies to
AA-30, AA-100, and AA-120
audio amplifiers. Connections
to plugs P1, P2, P4, P5, P6, P7,
P9, and P10 are identical.
Resistor R470 mounted across
terminals 4 and 5 on the last
Audio Amplifier.
