What the Installation Procedure Does

Depending upon the type of workstation you are using, the installation procedure 
installs certain software components (in addition to Install Tool), if they are not 
already installed. 

Installed Software Components

The following table indicates which software components are installed on each 
workstation type: 

In the case of Windows NT and Windows 2000, you must manually install TCP/IP 
and Dial-Up Networking, if they are not already installed. In addition, you must 
install the Passport 4400 null modem driver. Refer to your Windows 
documentation for detailed instructions.

Null Modem Driver Troubleshooting Tip

When you install Install Tool for the first time on a Windows 95, Windows 98, or 
Windows Me workstation, the installation process installs the Passport 4400 null 
modem driver, as well as TCP/IP and Dial-Up Networking (if they are not already 
installed).
