Updating and configuring the BIOS
BIOS update availability
BIOS updates are provided by Nortel on a floppy disk (NTRH8057).
Note:
For a complete list of BIOS settings, refer to page 217.
To update the BIOS

Insert the BIOS update disk (NTRH8057) into the floppy disk drive
of the server.

Restart the server. For instructions, refer to the
Installation and
Configuration Task List
(555-7101-210).
Result:
The server boots from the floppy disk and the BIOS update
begins automatically.

When prompted, press 1, and then press Enter.

When the BIOS update is finished, the server restarts automatically.
ATTENTION
The BIOS installed on the CallPilot server must be version
P07_64 or later.

CAUTION
Risk of equipment damage
Do not power off or restart the server before the BIOS update is
complete. If you do, the BIOS will become corrupted.
If the server does lose power during BIOS update (for example,
because of a power outage or lightning strike) you will need to
perform the BIOS recovery procedure on page 227.
