8.16.3 Grooving wheel
1 . Soak the dressing stick for finishing wheel (41002-M611) in water for about 5 minutes.
2 . Display the menu screen
(see 8.1.1
[p167]) .
3 . Press [Dressing] on the menu screen.
4 . Dress the grooving wheel by the procedure
below.
1 ) Press [Start] to the right of “Groove
dressing”.
2 ) Wet the dressing stick well with running water.
3 ) Press [Stop] to the right of “Cooling
water” to stop the cooling water.
4 ) Lightly apply the dressing stick to
the grooving wheel for about 5 sec-
onds.
5 ) Release the dressing stick from the
wheel.
6 ) Press [Start] to the right of “Cooling
water” to run the cooling water.
7 ) Wash the wheel surface with the
water.
8 ) Repeat the Steps 4) to 7) two or
three times.
5 . Press [Stop] to the right of “Groove dress-
ing”.
6 . Press [Exit] to return to the layout screen.
The grooving unit moves
to the center. The cool-
ing water comes out and
the wheel rotates at a
low speed.
Caution
Applying the dressing
stick to the wheel with
the water running has
very little effect.
