CPU Fan Removal
Remove the CPU fan as follows.
1.
Remove the support plate from the system board (see “Support Plate
Removal” earlier in this section).
2.
Position the system board with the processor side of the board facing down.
3.
Unplug the CPU fan cable from connector P22 on the system board (see the
preceding figure, “Removing the PC Card Bay,” for the location of P22).
4.
Turn the system board over, with the processor side of the board facing up.
5.
Remove the two screws securing the CPU fan to the heat sink.
6.
Remove the CPU fan from the heat sink.
