3-8 Disassembly and Reassembly
Bottom Cover Removal
Remove the bottom cover from the system unit as follows.
1.
Close all applications, shut down the operating system, turn off system
power, and unplug the AC power adapter and power cord from the power
source and the back of the system unit.
2.
Turn off and disconnect all peripherals.
3.
Carefully position the system as shown in “SO-DIMM Module Removal,”
earlier in this section. Position the system with the LCD panel face up.
4.
Remove ten Phillips head screws holding the bottom cover to the system
unit. It is not necessary to remove the SO-DIMM panel from the cover.
5.
Set the screws and bottom cover aside.
