
3-20 Disassembly and Reassembly
Hard Drive Bay and Drive Removal
Remove the hard drive bay and the hard drive as follows.
1.
Remove the system board and support plate assembly (see “System Board
and Support Plate Assembly Removal” earlier in this section).
2.
Remove the four screws securing the drive bay to the chassis (see the next
figure “Removing the LCD Panel” for bay and screw locations).
3.
Remove the bay and the drive from the chassis.
LCD Panel Removal
Remove the LCD panel from the system unit as follows.
Note
:
The LCD panel is a whole unit replaceable item.
There are no field replaceable parts within the LCD panel.
The LCD panel must be returned to the factory for repair.
1.
Remove the system board and support plate assembly (see “System Board
and Support Plate Assembly Removal” earlier in this section).
2.
Carefully cut the cable tie around the LCD panel interface cable and switch
cable (see the following figure).
3.
Remove the four screws securing the collar and system unit chassis to the
LCD panel.
