CHAPTER 27 ON-CHIP DEBUG FUNCTION (
µ
PD78F0138HD ONLY)
The
µ
PD78F0138HD uses the V
DD
, FLMD0, RESET, X1 (or P31), X2 (or P32), and V
SS
pins to communicate with
the host machine via an on-chip debug emulator (QB-78K0MINI) for on-chip debugging. Whether X1 and P31, or X2
and P32 are used can be selected.
Cautions 1. Be sure to pull down P31 after reset to prevent malfunction.
2. When using P31 for the on-chip debug function, it is recommended not to use P31 for any
purpose other than on-chip debugging, or to control P31 with an external circuit using P130
(that outputs a pseudo CPU reset signal).
Remarks 1. Only the ES (emulation sample) version is available for the
µ
PD78F0138HD. Use this product for
program evaluation.
2. For details of the on-chip debug function, refer to a separate document (document name, release
schedule: Pending).
