Annex - E
Procedure to connect to the PMM 9010
via a wireless Bluetooth channel
A-E.1 Introduction
This paragraph provides information concerning how to connect the
PMM 9010 receiver to the PC through a wireless link.
It can be useful when there is no possibility to use a cabled connection,
such as, for example, when the distance between the PC and the Receiver
is too long for a serial RS232 or USB line, or when cables around cause
discomfort.
Please refer to the proper chapter of the User’s Manual to get information
about PMM receivers and PMM Emission Suite software.
A-E.2 Wireless
connection
To be able to establish a wireless link between the PC and the PMM 9010
receiver the user needs the optional accessory
9010-BTA
.
It is a serial Bluetooth adapter that must be connected to the rear serial
port of the receiver.
The 9010-BTA is powered directly by the PMM 9010 receiver.
The PC must be equipped with a standard Bluetooth device.
It can be both internal, as it often happens for portable PCs, and external,
i.e. a USB Bluetooth adapter.
