o
Monitors input voltage to the system for irregularities in phase and/or
voltages that are outside of the specified operating range of the OSG
Diodes
o
One per cell bank, make up a 3-Phase rectifier in order to rectify feed voltage
to be within the cells’ operating conditions.
Contactors
o
Switches power on and off for each bank (one per cell bank).
Self-Cleaning Relays
o
Self-cleaning relays make up the H-bridge that allows self-cleaning models of
the RIO-S to reverse the polarity through the cells during a cleaning cycle.
Current/Voltage Sensors
o
One of each per cell bank, these sensors monitor the current/voltage within
each of the cell banks and sends the information back to the PLC.
Cell Bank Power Connections
o
The cell power lines exit the Switchgear cabinet via the (max) eight large
liquid tight cord grip fittings on the bottom of the cabinet and are routed into
the cell banks.
24 VDC Power Supply
o
Converts the feed power to 24 VDC in order to power low voltage components
within the OSG.
Switchgear M12 connection modules
The RIO-S OSG comes equipped with two M12 connection panels on the inside left (Module
1) and inside right (Module 2) walls of the switchgear cabinet that connect all the sensors
within the switchgear cabinet to the PLC. These connections are all wired at the factory. If
needed, refer to the wiring schematics provided as part of the documentation kit for the
wiring locations of each of these components. If additional clarification is needed, contact
your MIOX Customer Support provider.
