Getting Acquainted
This chapter helps you get acquainted with the Xstreamjet by describing its main com-
ponents. Important safety information is provided, as well as tips for general printer
use. The Xstreamjet’s specifications are also included.
Xstreamjet Components
The Xstreamjet is easy to operate and maintain. The figures below depicts its main
external features.
The primary internal features include the
print head
and the
cartridge bin
as shown
below.
Status LED / Tray Control
The status LED glows continuously to indicate that the printer has power. Error con-
ditions are indicated by a series of flashing patterns. (See the
Troubleshooting
chapter
for more information.)
In addition, this button provides a way to manually operate the disc try. Press the but-
ton to extend (open) the tray; press it again to retract (close) the tray. ( Note : during
normal operation, the tray is extended and retracted by software commands.)
