Clearing Error Conditions
Occasionally, the printer will not recover from an error until it is restarted. The
recommended restart sequence is as follows:
Turn the printer off.
1.
Carefully clear any discs jammed in the tray.
2.
Use Windows printer management utility to cancel all queued print jobs.
3.
Turn the printer on.

Common Problems and Solutions
This section discusses common problems end users may experience with the
Xstreamjet. A recommended solution is given for each. In cases where the solution
fails to cure the problem, or you experience a problem not listed here, contact
Microtech or the party that supplied the printer for support.
The printer is on, but nothing prints.
Ensure the USB cable is securely connected.

The printer sounds like it is printing, but nothing
prints.
Ensure the print head nozzles are not clogged. Refer to the section

Running the Head Cleaning Utility
above.
The printer cannot operate properly if it is tilted or at an angle. Place
•
it securely on the printer adapter plate or on a flat, stable surface that
extends beyond the printer base in all directions.
Calibrate the printer.

The printer makes noise when you turn it on or
after it has been sitting for awhile.
This is expected; the printer is performing routine maintenance.
