WARNING Risk of an accident due to insufficient tire pressure
Tire pressures that are too low pose the following hazards:
R
The tires may burst, especially as the load and vehicle speed
increase.
R
The tires may wear excessively and/or unevenly, which may
greatly impair tire traction.
R
The driving characteristics, as well as steering and braking,
may be greatly impaired.
You could then lose control of the vehicle.

Observe the recommended tire pressure.
#
Adjust the tire pressure if necessary.
#
Stop in accordance with the traffic conditions.
#
Check the tire pressure (

page 244) and the tires.

* The pressure in at least one tire is too low or the pressures of the indi-
vidual tires deviate too much from each other.

Check the tire pressure, and add air if necessary.

When the tire pressure has been set correctly, re-start the tire
pressure monitor (

page 250).
