DANGER Risk of death caused by exhaust
gases
Combustion engines emit poisonous exhaust
gases such as carbon monoxide. Inhaling these
exhaust gases is hazardous to health and leads
to poisoning.
#
Never leave the engine or, if present, the
auxiliary heating running in an enclosed
space without sufficient ventilation.
&
WARNING Risk of fire caused by hot
exhaust system parts
Flammable materials such as leaves, grass or
twigs may ignite.
#
Park the vehicle so that no flammable
material can come into contact with hot
vehicle components.
#
In particular, do not park on dry grass-
land or harvested grain fields.
&
WARNING Risk of accident with regenera-
tion activated
The transmission is in neutral if the vehicle has
a manual transmission and the regeneration of
the diesel particulate filter is activated. The
vehicle may thereby inadvertently roll away.
#
Apply the parking brake.
#
Turn the front wheels towards or away
from the curb on steep uphill or downhill
gradients.
