Menu
The on-board computer displays are ar-
ranged in menus. Several commands
are combined in the menus. These
commands can be used to directly
change the settings for your vehicle.
MON
(Motor Octane Number)
Indicates the petrol octane number de-
termined by standard methods. It
measures petrol resistance against un-
desirable self-ignition (knock resist-
ance).
Multi-function display
Two displays in the instrument cluster,
showing –>on-board computer infor-
mation.
Multifunction steering wheel
Steering wheel with buttons which con-
trol the –>on-board computer.
On-board voltage
The vehicle's voltage, influenced by
outgoing lines, consumers and return
lines. The battery can buffer, i.e. accept
and produce, extremely high currents
without causing a significant change to
the voltage.
On-board computer
You can use the on-board computer to
look up information on your vehicle and
make adjustments. For these purpos-
es, information is displayed in the
–>multi-function display, and the but-
tons on the multifunction steering
wheel control the on-board computer
display and settings.
Overrevving range
Speeds in the red area of the rev coun-
ter at which the engine can only oper-
ate for a short period.
Overrun mode
Passive acceleration of the vehicle, e.g.
when driving downhill.

(Personal Liaison Manager)
Your personal contact for all questions
regarding your SLR.
Program selector button
Button used to select between sport
(
S
) and manual gearshift program (
M
).
