Rain protection
Risk of injury
G
Items on the passenger seat could cause in-
juries in the event of sharp braking, a sud-
den change of direction, or in an accident.
Therefore, never place items on the passen-
ger seat.
The passenger footwell can be used to stow
items provided they are secured sufficiently.
Always stow heavy items in the boot.
Risk of injury
G
Heavy items on the passenger seat could
trigger the occupant classification system.
The passenger air bag could be deployed in
an accident. Personal injury and severe da-
mage to the vehicle could be the result. Ne-
ver place heavy items on the passenger
seat. Never use the passenger seat as a sto-
wage compartment, even when the passen-
ger-side tonneau is installed.
Risk of accident and injury
G
Prevent any water from entering the interior
of the vehicle. Water that enters the vehicle
interior could cause electronic systems to
malfunction which increases the risk of an
accident and personal injury.
If, despite all precautions, water has entered
the vehicle interior, have the vehicle che-
cked as soon as possible at a qualified spe-
cialist workshop that has the necessary
tools required for the work to be done.
Mercedes-Benz recommends that you have
such work carried out at your SLR Service
Centre.
