Key
Problem Possible cause/consequence Suggested solutions
The key cannot be turned in
the ignition lock. The key has been in position 0 for a considerable
length of time.

Remove the key and re-insert it in the ignition
lock.
왘 Have the starter battery checked and charged
if necessary (

Consult your PLM or a qualified specialist
workshop, e.g. an SLR Service Centre.
The voltage is too low.
왘
Switch off consumers that are not required,
e.g. interior lighting.
왘 Try to turn the key again.
If this does not work:
왘 Check the starter battery and charge it if nec-
