Self-diagnosis is not yet complete, for example.
ATTENTION ASSIST is deactivated and other driving systems could be
automatically deactivated.
The brake system continues to function normally, but without the
functions listed above. The wheels could therefore lock up at an early
stage in the event of maximum full-stop braking, for example.
This will severely impair steerability and braking. Braking distance may
increase in an emergency braking situation.

The parking brake is malfunctioning, e.g. after the 12 V on-board elec-
trical system battery has been disconnected.
Releasing the parking brake:

Switch the vehicle off and on again.
#
Depress the brake pedal and briefly pull the handle of the parking
brake (

page 147).
#
After around ten seconds, push down the handle of the parking
brake.
