by brake fluid
There is a risk of damage to property if brake
fluid comes into contact with paint, plastic or
rubber.

If paint, plastic or rubber comes into con-
tact with brake fluid, rinse with water
immediately.
Observe the notes on paintwork/matt finish paint-
work care (

page 220).
Have the brake fluid renewed every two years at a
qualified specialist workshop.
Only use brake fluid approved by Mercedes-Benz in
accordance with MB-Freigabe or MB-Approval
331.0.

WARNING Risk of fire‑ and injury from
antifreeze
If antifreeze comes into contact with hot com-
ponent parts in the engine compartment, it
may ignite.

Allow the drive system to cool down
before you top up the antifreeze.
#
Make sure that no antifreeze spills out
next to the filler opening.
#
Thoroughly clean the antifreeze from
component parts before starting the
vehicle.

Only add coolant that has been premixed
with the required antifreeze protection.

atures
If an inappropriate coolant is used, the engine
cooling system is not sufficiently protected
against overheating and corrosion at high out-
side temperatures.

Always use coolant approved for
Mercedes-Benz.

ing Fluids 320.1.

NOTE Paintwork damage due to coolant
#
Do not spill coolant on painted surfaces.
Have the coolant regularly replaced at a qualified
specialist workshop.
Note the proportion of anti-corrosion agent/anti-
freeze in the engine cooling system within the fol-
lowing temperature ranges:

A minimum of 50% (antifreeze protection down
to about -37°C)
R
A maximum of 55% (antifreeze protection down
to -45°C)

windscreen washer concentrate
Windscreen washer concentrate is highly flam-
mable. If it comes into contact with hot com-
ponents, it may ignite.

Make sure that windscreen washer con-
centrate is not spilled near to the filler
opening.
