If you have installed a rear luggage rack on the tail-

gate, the additional weight will restrict the assis-

tance offered by the pneumatic springs when you

open the tailgate. You will then need more force to

open the tailgate. At low outside temperatures

below freezing point, you should provide additional

support for the tailgate after opening it in order to

prevent it from lowering unintentionally.
