persists, call Medivance Service. Recalibrate upon

circulating through the pads is at least 2.3 liters per
minute. Determine whether the temperature probe
is placed properly. Check to make sure the
recommended number of pads is in use. Determine
whether the patient requires additional sedation for
shivering. Assess whether environmental factors,
such as room temperature and hot lamps are
interfering with the cooling process.
53 Prolonged cold
exposure

issued 11 alerts for
extended periods of
cold water delivery. Changes to Stop
Mode Assess patient’s skin. Assess whether the minimum
water temperature should be increased or whether
the temperature management therapy should be
discontinued.
