Before using Bluetooth audio
You can use a Bluetooth compatible portable audio player ("portable device") via
Bluetooth wireless communication technology as the source for the device. To use a
portable device, you need to register the unit on this device and set up the Bluetooth
connection. See "Bluetooth Settings" on page 3-18.
• The portable device connected to the unit must support the relevant Bluetooth
specifications. For the Bluetooth specifications supported by this unit, see
"Specifications" on page 11-23.
• Bluetooth is a short-range wireless technology for connecting mobile phones,
computers and other such devices.
WARNING
• Do not operate the portable device while driving.
CAUTION
• The frequency band used by this unit is also used by industrial, scientific and
medical devices; such as microwave ovens, facility wireless stations to identify
moving objects in factory production lines and other locations (license required),
special low output wireless stations (no license required), and amateur radios
(license required). (The 3 types of wireless stations above are hereafter called
"other wireless stations".) Before operating this unit, make sure no "other wireless
stations" are operating nearby. If the unit causes harmful radio wave interference in
"other wireless stations", immediately change the location to avoid the interference.
• The frequency band used by this unit is the 2.4 GHz band.
• The FH-SS modulation scheme is used.
• The estimated interference distance is less than 10 m.
• This unit uses the full band, making it possible to avoid the band of devices
identifying moving objects.
• Disassembling or modifying this unit is punishable by law.
• Do not leave the portable device inside the vehicle. High temperatures inside the
vehicle may damage the portable device.
• Do not set the portable device too close to the unit. When the device and the
unit are too close to each other, sound quality may deteriorate and connection
problems may arise.
