30. Remove the bolt, thrust bearing and cup.
Inspect the end of the shaft to make sure
the shaft is seated properly in the bearing.
31. Reinstall the remaining bearing house
bolts and tighten them in an opposing order.
32. Position the speed sensor harness bracket
at the 4 O’clock position.
33. Use a torque wrench to finish tightening
the bearing house bolts. Refer to the Bolt
Torque Value Chart. Bolt sizes will change
on larger models.
34. To reinstall the basket pulley, use a thrust
bearing and bolt with washers as needed.
35. Position the basket pulley and install the
bolt and thrust bearing.
36. Tighten the bolt to drive the basket pulley
onto the shaft.
37. Reinstall the basket pulley bolt.
24. When the bearing house is centered and
within a half an inch of closing the gap,
install at least two of the bearing house
bolts to align the bearing house properly.
25. Tighten these bolts until snug.
26. If necessary, add washers between the
bolt and the thrust bearing to continue
pulling the shaft through the bearing house.
27. Continue tightening the bolt.
28. When shaft is fully seated in the bearing
house it may be necessary to tighten the
bearing house bolts, installed earlier. This
will push the spin basket and bearing house
forward together, closing the gap.
29. Tighten the bearing house bolts
alternately.
