1. The water inlet valves can be repaired
individually. Most often it is only necessary
to replace the valve diaphragm rather than
replace the complete valve.
2. Once the valve has been identified that
needs repair, remove the wire connectors
from the valve.
3. Make sure to photograph or mark the wires
for proper reinstallation.
4. With a small flat blade screwdriver, pry the
valve coil up and remove it from valve stem.
5. Remove the valve stem with a valve stem
tool on a 1/2” nut driver. Place the tool over
the valve stem and unscrew the valve stem.
6. Remove the valve stem.
7. On the bottom of the valve stem is the
diaphragm. Peel diaphragm off valve stem.
8. The plunger can be pulled out of the
stem, and there is a spring that pushes
the plunger down when the valve is not
energized.
TeCH Tip:
In case a valve stem tool is not
available, a pair of needle nose pliers can
be used to remove the valve stem.
Electrical Shock Hazard
Disconnect power before servicing.
Failure to do so can result in death or
electrical shock.
Replace all parts and panels before
operating.
