Valid Range: 1 to 9 seconds.
Pause Timer:
In old type of P&T exchanges, dial tone comes a bit late which may lead to a condition in which
case the system may dial out the number without waiting for the P&T dial tone. Because of this few initial digits
may not reach the P&T exchange resulting in false dialing. To avoid such mismatch, delay is inserted by the
system before the number is dialed. This ensures proper dialing only after getting dial tone on the trunk. This
delay is known as Pause Timer.
Command:
215-Timer
Default: 03 seconds
Valid Range: 01 to 99 seconds
Trunk First Digit Wait Timer:
It is time before which the station should dial the digits on the trunk line after
grabbing the trunk. If the outside telephone number is not dialed during this time, the system gives error tone.
This is a global timer and is applicable to all the First Digit Wait Timer of the trunk.
Command :
217-09-Timer
Default : 15 seconds
Valid Range : 01 to 99 seconds.
Trunk Digit-Digit Wait Timer:
It signifies the time for which the system waits for next digit during dialing phase
while dialing on trunk.
Command :
217-33-Timer
Default : 06 seconds
Valid Range : 01 to 99 seconds.

Trunk Reservation
What’s this?

A station user can reserve a particular trunk for sometime.
•
In big offices, the number of users is more but the trunk lines are less. In such cases, at any given time most
of the trunks are busy and a station user might not get his turn to make a call. This feature helps a station
user in such case. He can reserve a trunk for time = trunk reservation timer. During this period, no one else
can access this trunk except the station that has reserved this trunk.
How to use it?
