One can pick a certain location within the VGA screen and convert that portion of the image to full
field video output. In the Magni Premier application software, go to the Mix tab, similar to the video
squeeze procedure to set the MagniPort size and position. Memory functions also apply here.
Shifting a full size video horizontally
To Shift a full size video vertically or horizontally without changing the size set the squeezed size to 1x
and moves the image to the desire position. This can only be done with the command codes.
The MCP-601's squeezed function is defined by the two position settings. The VIDEOIN (VIDIN) and
the VIDEOOUT (VIDOUT) positions can be set by the command codes with RS232. .
For example, if you want a full size incoming video moved to the right by 25%, the right side
horizontal size will be cutoff by 25% but 100% vertical will stay intact. Set VIDIN position codes
0,0,539,479 and the VIDOUT codes to 180,0,719,479. The output will be shifted by 25% to the right.
The PC information will then be added to fill the 25% on the left side of the video output.
The user can also customize the ratio to make it smaller or move the video to different positions. One
can also view the settings with the Magni Premier software. Control C will display the Console
screen with the status window and show the command codes associated with the action.
Using the horizontal key lockout to mask the video segment where you want
to insert the PC information. This can be done with either the command codes or
with the Magni Premier application software.
