It connects the software with the MCP-601 and gives an indication back and displayed on the line
below the button. Make sure to connect the PC to the MCP-601 via communication ports. Once
connected and settings saved, you can disconnect the communication port between the computer
and MCP-601, and the unit will continue operate at the last settings in the Magni Premier
software. You can also operate the unit with the IR remote controller without this connection.
•
Select Auto Connect to automatically connect the software to the unit when the software is
started. (This will only take effect when the PowerUp save has been done.)
Saving the settings (and all others) for power up:

Magni Premier Application software.
•
The MCP-601 will power-up to these settings with or without the computer connected.
•
Press the Save PowerUp Button. It saves the power-up settings in the unit and in a file on the PC.
Genlock Setup
Genlock is determined by the video input and genlock source selections. The selections can be set
with the
MENU
setting, or with the Magni Premier application software. (Refer to the MENU
display section: Menu, Input Video,…)
Depending on the applications, the MCP-601 outputs are genlock to the incoming video, to the REF
IN Composite signal, or to the internal clock. The front panel Genlock LED will lid when a valid
genlock signal is present. Regardless of the input selection and genlock method, both SDI-601 and
analog signal in the selected format are output simultaneously.
Scan Conversion
There are two ways to have a 100% scan conversions operation with the MCP-601:
1.
Video Input – None. With no input signal, the video outputs will consist of 100%
graphics and referenced to either the internal clock of the unit ( Power up memory
setting) or, to a reference signal and is selected under Genlock Source. In the later case,
apply a reference signal (Black Burst or a Composite signal) to the REF IN input
(Factory preset default memory location 1).
