Operate the MCP-601 from the remote IR Controller. Use the MENU button to access the
on-screen displays. Please refer to the sections on IR Controller and VIDEO OUTPUT
ON-SCREEN DISPLAYS in this manual.

For scan conversion or down stream keying application with external REF input as the
genlock source, the PowerUp setting can be set as follows: With the IR controller, select
MENU, INPUT VIDEO, REF, then with the previous button on the IR controller, select
MEMORY on screen, PowerUp, SAVE.

For PAL applications and for the unit automatically setup for PAL power up,
Change all default Memories location (including PowerUp) to 625/PAL standard by
pressing MENU to access the on-screen display, then Memories, All, Defaults for PAL.
This will change the Video Output Standard to 625/PAL for all factory default memory
locations (see Table 5-1, Factory Preset Default Memories).
NOTE 1
: It is recommended that the display resolution of the PC be set to 800 X 600,
60 Hz frame rate and 16-bit or 24-bit color during the initial set up.
NOTE 2
: For VGA resolution of 720 x 480 (NTSC) or 720 X 576 (PAL), refer to the
section on
Setting Up VGA Input.
