For proper conditioning, the rolls must be properly timed and
aligned; each steel bar on one roll must be centered between
two bars on the other roll as shown in illustration at right. The
factory setting should be suitable for most crop conditions.

Check rolling before adjusting. Refer to
3.12.3 Checking Roll Timing, page 48
If roll timing needs adjusting, continue to the next step.

Loosen four bolts (A) on one of the small timing gears.
3.
Insert tool as described above and allow rolls to adjust to
the tool.
4.
Tighten bolts on timing gear.
5.
Return the tool the storage location on the right end of the
conditioner. Secure it with a washer and wing nut.
