Touch Screen Environment Components
The Touch Screen environment includes the following components:
Table 1: Touch Screen Environment Components
A The Illumination Control Signal, supplied by the Crystal Touch PCB Controller (PCB Controller) to the Touch Screen
panel. The Illumination Control Signal turns the Touch Screen’s Active Barrier on and off
B Light obstructions caused by the User fingers / objects
C The IR (Infra-Red) illumination generated by the Active Barrier. The IR light is transmitted to the sensors. The light
wavelength is 830nm±20nm
D The mechanical connections between:
•
The Touch Screen and the Host’s monitor / screen
•
The Touch Screen and the Host screen's bezel
E
Touch events transmitted by the PCB Controller to the Host via USB-HID. Supported interfaces include HID-mouse,
HID-digitizer, HID-pointer / mouse
F
The Analog Data Sensor. The signal sample rate is 500 KHz
G The settings information and calibration data exchange between the Crystal Touch Manager application, and the PCB
Controller
H The USB settings commands exchanged between the manufacturing tool software and the PCB Controller
