General
The Lumio
Integrator
guide provides technical guidelines for integration of Lumio Touch Screen panels into LCD
and
Plasma monitors.
Integrate Touch Screen panels into Monitors only after an Integration Design is prepared and
approved by the Integrators’ engineers, according to Lumio Integration Design requirements and
recommendations (see the Lumio Design guide for Integrators), and any other requirements that
Integrators and their Engineers deem necessary. Lumio is neither responsible for integration designs
nor their implementation!

Safety Instructions and Precautions
Comply with the following safety instructions and precautions regarding handling and usage of Lumio Touch
Screen panels, in order to prevent harm and damage to the various system components, and to ensure
successful integration.
•
Only qualified integrators are authorized to integrate Touch Screens into monitors
•
Do not integrate
Touch Screens
without an approved engineer integrator design plan
•
Do not integrate or service Touch Screens
before reading all safety and operation instructions
•
Connect electrical components to a power supply that is properly grounded
•
During integration or maintenance, disconnect the Touch Screen from the electrical supply
•
Do not perform any electrical, mechanical or other changes to Touch Screen and their components without prior
written Lumio authorization
•
Handle Touch Screen panels with care - they are glass
•
Do not subject Touch Screen panels to unnecessary shock or stress
•
Do not lift a Touch Screen panel by the Active Barrier or by its flat cables
•
Large Touch Screen panels are heavy, and should be carried by at least two people
•
Do not stack Touch Screen panels on top of each other
•
Do not place heavy objects on the Touch Screen panels
•
Ensure Touch Screen storage temperature as specified in the Lumio Design guide for Integrators
•
Ensure that the monitor is well ventilated. The Touch Screen temperature should not exceed the value displayed in
the Integrator Design guide
•
Wear gloves when handling Touch Screens to prevent unnecessary fingerprints on the panel
•
Clean Touch Screens with a dry cloth or with a soft cloth soaked in neutral detergent (after wringing dry)
•
Do not use any organic solvents, acids or alkali solutions to clean glass Touch Screens (for further cleaning
