Mounting Large Touch Screen Panels

Large Touch Screen panels are panels 30”-70” in size. Large Touch Screen panels are supported by brackets and

spacers that stabilize the frame in order to prevent Touch Screen panel movement when mounted on the

monitor (Touch Screen movement can cause signal distortion).

To mount large Touch Screens on a monitor:

1.

Attach foam tape to the metal frame surrounding the bottom of the monitor or to the internal side of

the glass. Make sure that there are gaps for preventing the hot air to be locked inside.

Note:  Ensure that the Touch Screen and the monitor screens are clean and free of dust, finger-prints, lint etc., as they will be

glued together, and any dirt not removed will be caught in-between them forever. If flex sensors are used, ensure that

no pressure is applied to them, and take precautions to prevent them from being cut by components such as the

glass.

2.

Align the bottom edge of the Touch Screen glass panel with the bottom edge of the monitor just outside

the monitor’s open bezel area.

3.

Align the Touch Screen panel in the center of the monitor.

4.

Place the Touch Screen panel on the foam tape situated on the monitor (see

Figure 6 Mounting Large

Touch Screens on a Monitor

 - note 2

)

Note: Place the sensors as close as possible to the top of the monitor’s open bezel area.

5.

Press the Touch Screen panel lightly yet firmly to the monitor to secure the Touch Screen panel to the

tape.

6.

Attach

the brackets to the side panels of the bezel in the following order:

a.

Tighten the screws on the top side of the bracket.

b.

Tighten the screws on the top side of the bracket.

c.

Tighten the remaining screws.

Note: Ensure that the brackets hold the Touch Screen panel firmly against the bezel.
