After fulfilling IQC requirements (See
IQC: Incoming Quality Control Inspection
) and design requirements
(See
), mount the Touch Screen on the monitor.

Mounting Small Touch Screen Screens
Small Touch Screen panels are panels smaller than 28” in size.
To mount small Touch Screen on a monitor:
1.
Attach black double sided foam tape to the metal frame surrounding the monitor.
Note
:
Tape Requirements
:
•
The recommended tape is 3M VHB
•
Tape should be at least 0.64 mm thick, in order to absorb monitor flatness deformation
•
Double-sided tape thicker than 1mm is required if monitor glass surface deformation is greater than 1 mm (for glass
surface flatness testing, see the
Design
guide for Integrators
)
2.
Remove the protecting cover of the tape.
Note
: Ensure that the Touch Screen and the monitor are clean and free of dust, finger-prints, lint etc., as they will be glued
together, and any dirt not removed will be caught in-between them forever. Clean Touch Screens with a dry cloth or
with a soft cloth soaked in neutral detergent (after wringing dry). Then use a pneumatic air gun to clean the monitor
before placing the Touch Screen.
3.
Align the bottom edge of the Touch Screen glass panel with the bottom edge of the monitor
just outside
the
monitor’s open bezel area.
4.
Align
the Touch Screen panel in the center of the
monitor.
5.
Place the Touch Screen panel on the double sided tape situated on the monitor (see
Fig 4: (2))
.
Note: Place the sensors as close as possible to the top of the monitor’s open bezel area.
6.
Press the Touch Screen panel lightly yet firmly to the
monitor to secure the panel to the tape.
The following diagram describes small
Touch Screen panel components and mounting on a monitor.
