Connecting cables to the RAID 520i PCIe adapter
• If your server has no more than four storage drives installed, do the following:
1. Connect one end of the 1-to-4 mini-SAS signal cable to connector 0 on the adapter.
2. Connect the four connectors on the other end of the cable to the storage drives by referring to
the following illustration and table.

• If your server has five storage drives installed, connect the first four drives using the 1-to-4 mini-SAS
signal cable. Then, connect the fifth storage drive using the 1-to-1 mini-SAS signal cable:
1. Connect one end of the 1-to-1 mini-SAS signal cable to connector 1 on the adapter.
2. Connect the other end of the cable to the signal connector of the storage drive.
