When inserting the
chip notice the
correct orientation
with respect to the
socket. For this,
both parts have
special marks
(illustrated in the
figure below by
black arrows):
•
a skewed corner
•
a triangle (printed on the chip, relief in the
socket)
•
a round indentation in the bevel of the
memory chip
A T T E N T I O N
A wrongly inserted EPROM can cause hardware defects that may
not be sensible. Therefore, check the correct orientation of the chip
before assembling the device.
