6. TROUBLE SHOOTING
In the event that the product would not operate as expected or in a stable manner, you should trace the factor(s)
that may be causing such a condition before concluding that the system has failed.
Items to be checked and countermeasure against various phenomena are described in the following table.
If troubles are not solved despite countermeasures, contact KYOWA or our representative.
If the product is damaged due to any causes other than as written in the Instruction Manual or if the user has
disassembled or remodeled the product, Kyowa Electronic Instruments Co., Ltd. may not be able to offer repair
service.
Trouble
Checked Items and Countermeasures
The power is not
turned ON.
(LEDs are OFF.)
Confirm the power terminal block has the specified voltage.
Check the voltage with a tester. For details, see "3-5. TO CONNECT [OUTPUT]
TERMINALS".
The fuse has blown out. * Contact KYOWA or our representatives.
The "E-01" or "E-
02" is displayed.
The product is failure. Stop using the product.
Contact KYOWA or our representatives.
Operation stops and
accepts no
instruction at all.
The operation failed due to noise.
Turn OFF the power and turn ON again. If the same phenomenon still generates
due to noise, take appropriate countermeasures for removing the noise from
operating environment, power supply, etc. For details, see the following "Noisy"
part.
The measured value
varies.
The operation failed due to noise.
Take appropriate countermeasures for removing the noise. For details, see the
following "Noisy" part.
Confirm the input cables are connected correctly.
Connect them correctly and keep them from moving.
The measured value
is incorrect.
Confirm the transducer connections are correct.
Correctly connect them.
Confirm the calibration settings and bridge excitation voltage settings are correct.
Correctly set them based on the transducer specifications.
Noisy
Confirm the GND terminal is connected to the ground.
Do not locate the input cable near the inverter motor, machine tool, welding
machine, or AC motor power supply.
Separately locate the input cable from the power source.
Set the low-pass filter or moving average of the smoothing function to reduce
noise.
Set the cutoff frequency of the low-pass filter 2 to 5 times as large as the input signal
frequency. Example: Suppose the input is DC to 30Hz. Set the cutoff frequency 100
Hz.
Inductive interference
Using the product, near equipment generating strong magnetic field, generates induction noise.
The equipment includes large motors, transformer, and ferro-resonant constant voltage transformer.
Locating the product, far away from measuring points, also generates induction noise.
Take the following measures to protect against induction noise.
Separately locate the product from the power source.
Use a shielded cable for transducer connection. Connect the shield to the E terminal of the
[TRANSDUCER] connector.
